Lewisville Brides that need OOT Bags

I just finished my Out of Town bags and SERIOUSLY overestimated my needs.  I have tons of pamphlets left over from what I grabbed from the City Hall and the DFW Visitors Group.  Can anyone out put them to good use?  Let me know and I can meet you! I'd hate for them to go to waste.

Do you mind listing everything you put in your OOT bags?

I printed a list from TK a while back, but was curious what some people actually do. Over 90% of our guests will be OOT for ours.

A program in which I listed various things to do around the metroplex and our favorite eateries around the hotel.  I also included important phone numbers.  I attached a map a friend made us to the ceremony.

A while back we bought soaps and an old vintage table runner to make these:

I also used a recipe from Gifts in a Bag to make a drink mix.  I put the drink mix in little baggies I got off Amazon and decorated them with a tag and instructions from the book using my Cricut.  (Book here: http://www.amazon.com/Gifts-Bag-Drinks-G-Publishing/dp/1563831406/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_c )

We went to Costco today to get the rest: (we went a little bit crazy)

I bought white paper gift bags from a bag store online and decorated them similarly to this post:

(I used a package of pretty scrapbook paper I already had.  Doesn't match my wedding colors, but they're still very pretty.  Left the buttons off the final look.  Finished them off with 99c store tissue paper.)

I really wanted to make it more about Texas but in the end, those things that would scream Texas would have added to the cost of what I thought was going to be 40 bags (it ended up being 20... still a lot)  I think our overall budget for the bags was around $160 total.  We might have gone over that.

Awesome! Thank you sooo much! I checked out all the links and one of them had a picture of the stuff they put in their box. (sometimes I have to visually see it to totally get it). I liked the Bluebonnet seeds I saw on the other post, as I know my mom and several aunts enjoy gardening.

The water bottle label is cool and a great alternative to beer (most of my family and friends aren't drinkers).

Did you set up any special rates at any hotels? If so, did your guests actually take advantage of them?

yes, I'd say 80% did.  A few found a cheaper rate if they booked and paid a month in advance, but those that didn't saved a ton with our negotiated rate.
