How many hair/makeup trials?

How many hair and makeup trials did most of you ladies have before you booked? Just trying to get a sense of how many people typically go to before choosing.

Only one is included in my price but there's no time limit so we can keep working until we find one we like.

I didn't try her before choosing; I spoke with references and other venues that have had to house her before we chose but she didn't offer a complimentary trial.

I did one and hated it so I switched artists.

I did one full trial with my new MUA but decided I wanted to try a smokey eye so I went back and did just a makeup trial to do a smokey eye.  So I guess I did 3, but 2 with the same artist.

I did one. I hated the bangs in the first do so she swapped it out to side wisps...I was ok until an hour after I left and realized I hated it and swatted at it so day of I am having her do the side but smaller and to the LEFT (she did it to the right and I NEVER part to the right)....FI loved when he saw. Make up we only switched up the eye colors once.

I only did one make up trial before decided on my MUA but I'll be doing doing 3 trials with my hair stylist (updo, down, and half up-half down)

I'm early in the process, but I had a 'trial' before my engagement pics, knowing full well that I could get home and do my own if I hated it. But I turned out loving it, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone.
Hair is TBD....
