"I'm so excited about the wedding programs I just designed! I hope everyone knows how to use a 'cootie catcher'/'fortune teller'!"

Cannot make up.

Hahahaha. I actually just ran across those on Etsy today (clicky). I wondered if many people buy them . . . apparently some do!

  • Wow.  Sadly, no, I don't think I'll be invited.  It's some girl who was in my sister's grade in highschool who I don't think I ever spoke to.

  • Hmmm, I made these for my 6 & 7 year old flower girls / god-daughters to play with this past summer, but as wedding programs?

Was the engagement announce with the status: "OMg JuSt EnGaGeD!!!!!! :))))))) BeSt DaY EvErRrRrRrRr!"?
  • That would be super cute if I were planning my dream wedding with the mind of my 10 year old self. In which case our reception would have been at the roller rink and the favors would be glow sticks and slap bracelets! First dance: NKOTB. My bridesmaids would wear: clicky. Wait. This is fun.
Why would you actually refer to it as a 'cootie catcher'? I'm not sure I would want that word associated with a wedding.

I pled my case for this to happen at ours. I lost.

C'mon, bridezilla, with all these extra demands from groomie I think you could make your case! Either way, I am SO requesting some. ;)
  • it really doesn't seem that bad to me, depending on the vibe they're going for. I mean definitely it's a little silly and there are people who are going to view it as juvenile or kitschy, but it could be sort of fun depending on how she's doing it.

  • Oh, also, ProfSci, sorry, I forgot to say thanks for the Eismann suggestion (I think it was from you, if not sorry!) We were actually going to go there but took a few pictures in our front yard, got tired and ended up taking all the pictures at home. But I'm going to keep it in mind for the future.

Oh, the "must play" list has a line item for Boy Bands in general. While I don't care which BSB/NSync/Hanson song is spit out,  I am not afraid to get specific on my NKOTB songs!

I am one of those people.

My biggest problem is what a horrible distraction something like that would be.  Can you imagine that "flipflipflipflipflipflipflip" sound through your whole wedding?
