Rec your favorite eye cream please!

I've noticed my eyelids starting to get a bit crepey and would like to nip that in the bud.

What eye cream do you love, and why?  Also, what's your skin type?

I don't have issues with puffyness or dark circles, so I only need something that moisturizes super well for the eyes!

Thanks in advance!

Re: Rec your favorite eye cream please!

  • I use Murad Hydro Dynamic at night for my eyes. It's kind of pricey, but it lasts forever. I have dry eyes every once and awhile (especially in the summer) so I just dab a little on before I go to bed.
  • Clinique All About Eyes Rich is pretty economical ($30 for half an ounce, lasts forever). It feels amazing going on and because it's so moisturizing, it seems to smoothe fine lines pretty well.

My skin type is oily-combination. Because of that, I only use the Clinique eye cream in the winter, when my face seems to dry out. The rest of the year, I use Olay Definity eye gel, but that mostly takes care of dark circles and puffiness.

  • I tried different eye creams for YEARS - so many different brands (expensive and inexpensive) and spent a ton of money switching from cream to cream.  I finally found one that I LOVE.  I had a lot of dryness and flakiness on my eyelids and under my eyes.  No real issues with bags or puffiness.  I ended up trying Wild Ferns Manuka Honey Eye Cream (click for Amazon link).  I've been using it for over a year now and I still love. it.  I use several Wild Ferns Manuka Honey products now and I highly recommend them.

  • Ditto on the Clinique All About Eyes Rich. It does last forever and it feels so good going on. I have dry combination skin so I use it everyday.

Are you serious??  I just snooped through your bio and you look UH-MAZING!!  What's your beauty routine?
  • Try going to Sephora and asking for samples.  That's what I do and they're more than happy to help.  I got a sample of Ole Henrikson and turns out I'm allergic to it.  Eye swelled up, watered uncontrollably, it was a disaster!

I am forever on the search for a new eye cream.  My latest one to try was Philosophy's Miracle Worker.  It didn't work any miracles though.  I have dry skin and since I'm over 40, I always try anti-aging ones.  I have yet to find one that I love.  I want to try this one:  I had it when I got a facial at a spa in Sedona and it smelled and felt heavenly.

Clinique's All About Eyes always gets mentioned and apparently lots of girls love it.  Lots of dermatologists will tell you to just use your regular moisturizer under your eyes and that that does as good a job as any.
  • I use Elizabeth Arden Intervene eye cream. I notice that my eyes stay moisturized all day with it and that my eye makeup doesn't get dry.

Aww, thanks.  I was 40 when I got married in 2009.  I just do the basics--cleanse and moisturize and I do microdermabrasion at home and get glycolic peels every six months or so.  I drink lots of water and I use a daily moisturizer with sunscreen.  If someone asked me what is the one thing they can do to look younger, it would be use sunscreen.
  • Teamine Eye Complex Super pricey but worth it!
  • Anew by Avon its amazing and a great price

Hee, that is funny--a picture of Carrie was my hair and makeup inspiration.  My MUA got the look spot on!  Thanks for the kind words.  But I'll be 43 in April, aaagggh!
