So we booked our photographer about a month - a month and a half ago. We'll call her D and her assistant C.
A couple of weeks ago, C tells me (via Facebook chat) that she is no longer the assistant of D and good luck with the wedding and such. I heard nothing from D.
I had emailed D to make sure that C had put in that we scheduled our e-photos for the 24th of this month. D said yes she had us down for that day.
I'm at this point already sorta freaking out. We put a deposit down for D and C. Both names are on the contract. So I don't know if this means that D has to just have an assistant by that time or what.
BUT (oh it gets better). Today I get a text (her and I both prefer this or emailing to calling) from D saying "I have you scheduled for the 24th, but C needs to return the $125 ((half of the deposit)) to me for part of the deposit you gave me and she wont..". At this point, I'm thinking 'what does this have to do with me!?' I ask "what if she doesn't?' D replies "She told me she would and now she wants her shoots out of my computer, but I own the pics...she is being very immature, I can't deal with it..." Next text "I told her, her shoots have nothing to do with your deposit..she backed out of your wedding, it was her own doing.." I then say ':/ i'm sorry' (cause I had no idea what to say - this doesn't really concern me. D then responds "So in essence she stole your money for now and thats not right.." I asked 'But we still have the credit for the money though, right?' And D answers "Yes, but she needs to get it back to me..."
So I'm really confused as to why she's telling me this. It really has nothing to do with me. -sigh-
