To cut or not to cut???

My mother and I decided a while ago to cut our hair to donate it to Locks of Love on May 1st, however I got engaged and now am planning a September 1st wedding.  I'm torn because I think I want my hair long and down for the wedding, but I want to be able to donate my hair the same time as my mom, and am not looking forward to dealing with waist length hair all summer.  Should I stick it our or cut it?

    I donate my hair every year.  I always donate to Pantene since Locks of Love makes the kids families pay for the wigs. 

    I understand you want to donate so what if you just wait until after the wedding?  You could still get a trim in May with your mom and then just wait it out.
