How did you meet your FI/DH?

We met via eHarmony.  We chatted through them for nearly three months before we finally got together for our first date.  He was brave--he went to a football game for the school where I teach.

FI and I met at work.  I was working at Red Lobster (ugh still am...) and came in for my shift to find the manager going through some paperwork with some new trainees.  I though he was cute, but everyone else though he was kinda nerdy.  I never really talked to him until we were taking a break at the same time with some other people.  He swears up and down that the first time we talked, I teased him about some other girl.  I don't remember. 

After that, I started inviting him out with my group of friends and we hung out a couple of times.  When he finally caught on that I had a crush on hi, he got up the nerve to ask me out.  Unfortunately, I had made plans with my family on that night!  I felt bad so I invited him to a little party my best friend was having.  We ended up having our first kiss there and then the next day we started dating!

We met on Myspace by accident. I had moved to a new city after I graduated HS and I wanted to add my old HS friends on myspace. His profile showed up and I thought he was cute. I had just gotten out of a bad relationship and I thought I'm going to go out of my comfort zone and message him. Something I would NEVER do. I was super shy! We started talking and a week later we met. I called my friend and told them to call my in 30 minutes so I'd have an out if I needed one. We meet at 8 ish and talked to 2 in the morning. My phone kept going off and I kept hitting ignore. We had an amazing connection! That was almost 6 years ago!

DH and I met in high school my freshman (his sophomore) year during track. He doesn't remember this as I was the band nerd (haha) and he was the basketball jock. Fast forward two years and I'm in pre-cal. I see him walk in and tell him to sit next to me in class because being in advanced classes, I always had classes with the same people and I wanted to talk to someone new. Anyways we hung out in this class all the time, joking with each other. Starting spending more time together because I was a basketball manager (totally due to following my friends and had nothing to do with him). Anyways he asked me out and I said I would think about it. I finally said yes, a month later on Christmas. Crazy thiing is that our teacher said that we would get married and we always thought that it was weird considering we were only 16/17. 5 years later, we are!

But didn't start dating until afterwards. We had some mutual friends so we still saw each other a lot and we started hanging out just us two and the rest is history!

We met when I was in middle school and he was in high school (small private school so they were combined). He would flirt with me and I was so oblivious to it and thought he liked my friend. We would talk on the phone every now and then and one night he decided to drop the bomb and tell me he liked me. Big SHocker! I was so surprised and it kinda scared me off for some dunb reason so I backed off.

Then that summer I kept thinking about him and just could not get him off my mind. I tried calling him alot but didn't get through (turns out I had the wrong number...lol). Once I got the right number we talked all the time for hours upon hours. The next school year (my freshman yr) we had our first kiss after a football game in the parking lot and that same weekend decided to date.

Been together ever since, through highschool, college, and now after graduation. We were suppose to be married this past Sept. 18th (our 10 year anniversary), but he is having trouble finding work after graduating. So all plans are kinda on hold and the wedding is pushed back for Sept. 17th 2011. I really can't wait to marry him and I and thankful every day that he didn't completely give up on me and move on after I thought he was a weirdo for liking me....lol.

I love these stories

My FI and I both worked at the same company in the midwest straight out of college. We both hated the job, and he quit after a while. He was making plans to move back to his native TX and was having a going-away party. He invited me by chance to his party, but I had a date that night so I declined.

Then, my date cancelled on me with an hour's notice, and I was so mad I called up my now-FI and asked him if his party was still on. I never would've had the guts to call a guy I barely knew and go out with a bunch of people I didn't know if I hadn't been so indignant about being stood up!

We hit it off, and his "moving date" kept mysteriously getting pushed back by a week...and another week...I didn't know why at the time, but I didn't care! By the time he actually did move six weeks later, I'd already started looking for a job in TX myself. That was a year and a half ago now. It all sounds so crazy and fast, which is NOT me at all. But I knew when to trust my instincts

<strong>My story is very simmiliar, I met mine while I was a waitress at applebee's and I was his waitress. I am typically pretty shy and reserved but from the moment I met him he had me laughing so hard I cried.  I kept hanging at his table and talking and laughing. Next thing I knew I was getting talked to by my manager who said I needed to get back to work.

He asked if he could take me to dinner sometime I kinda giggled and said " if your lucky " He said something witty back. As Im giving his check he proceeds to pay. He left me a $50 dollar tip.... On the bill it says call me when your ready.

I never spent that money and infact I have it framed with his reciept. Its super cute and we have been together ever since. He's amazing !</strong>
