Bridesmaid issue

Liz, as a former bride I think the difference that some people see is that the BMs can be a reflection of the bride - at least that can be the view of the older generation.  They think 'the bride' put them in the dresses and chose the attire so they want to make sure that they please everyone in the family - particularly those who are known to be outspoken judges.The guests will still be judged by the outspoken judges however they're not viewed as a reflection of the bride.At least that's sort of my take on it.    It's not necessarily "right" but I think that may be what leads to the fear - at least when the bride herself doesn't care what's on the BMs body and isn't complaining about photos.
