Re: Happy Friday!

  • Bummer about your brakes manwa. :(  H and his dad are fairly handy when it comes to cars, and I am grateful for that!  Definitely saves us a lot of money.

<div>Sniff sinff, I'm gonna miss it so much.....ok, yeah, I can't even lie while typing. </div><div>
</div><div>The best thing that has happened due to the show is that trixie has become even more socialized and people can't believe she's only 5 months old. So well behaved. And now everyone tells her that she's the star of the show. We call her Puppy Lupone, which is a pun off of Patti Lupone, one of the biggest divas and talents on broadway!</div>

  • Manwa, that sucks about the brakes.  We had to get DH's brakes replaced a while back, and it sucked.  It was the first time I've paid for anything with a credit card since I started this job last summer.  Major bummer.

I think it's awesome that Trixie's well-trained enough to be in a show!  Even if the show does suck.  Was the part written for her, did you volunteer her, or was there just a random part for a dog?

Aerin, let me know how Tron is. DH wants to go see it in the worst way. Usually when there's a movie out that he wants to see, but isn't sure if I'll like it, he'll say "If you don't want to go, I can always take Steve" (One of his best friends).

But not Tron. I never got a say on that one. The first time we saw a trailer his exact reaction was: "Ohmigod, we have to see it! What do you mean you've never heard of Tron? First, you've never seen 'Star Wars' and now this? I won't stand for it! You're going, I'm taking you, you will be educated!".

    H'okay then.

  • I had been debating with my sisters about trying to drag them to the midnight showing of Tron at the El Cap as we were waiting for Nightmare Before Christmas to start.  Then they ran the (then) latest Tron trailer, and I told DH that I was going to message them both saying, "This is no longer a request.  We are seeing Tron at midnight.  I'll pay for your tickets, but you don't have a choice in the matter."  But my sister was bringing the baby, and they both had really early flights, and it just didn't work out.  I'm still grumpy about it.  I wouldn't have seen it without DH and he had to work this morning, so I guess it was moot anyway.

You should try to watch the original before you see this one.  It's from 1981 (or maybe '82) so it's a little hokey, but it's still awesome.

That's how I was with that movie, but I still think it looks REALLY cool.
