  • I haven't decided yet what my "something blue" is going to be...it's going to be one of three things -- my great-grandma's watch if my grandma and I figure out a way to make it fit me (her wrists were so tiny!), embroidery on the inside of my gown, or a piece of my underwear that day.

My favorite color is tiffany blue.

I WANTED to use that color in the wedding, but FI didn't like it as much as the red idea.

We're doing our kitchen in white, black, tiffany blue, and red.

  • 1- My something blue will probably be a piece of jewelry of some sort. Not sure yet.

2- My favorite color is green.

3- Yes, I wil use it as an accent color to a deep plum color.

4- None. I don't decorate. Its exactly the way i bought it, with neutral walls, 5 different kinds of flooring in 1000 sq ft (wood, brick, carpet, and 2 kids of tile). The fireplace and mantle are dark green marble. I did hange some sun blocking curtains that are green, though.

  • Hell if I know, haven't gotten that far yet.  MIght have a patch sewn to the inside of my dress or something.

Used to be purple, now I tend to favor blue.

Nope, wedding is black and white.

Our apartment isn't what you'd call "decorated."  We've been here for six months, and it still isn't quite what you would call "unpacked."  I do know that when we get a house, it's going to have a giant, functional kitchen done in warm woods and deep blues.  At this point I don't care what the rest of the house looks like, as long as it has a fabulous kitchen.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Something blue: underwear

    Favorite color: coral

In wedding?: yup, BM dresses, flowers, invitations and maybe the cake

House colors: mostly neutrals, although our guest room is yellow. We're still getting things decorated (even though we've live here for a year now...), and I want to bring in more pops of color - probably blues in the living room and burgandy in our bedroom.

  • Something blue:  either earrings or garter (not sure yet)
    Favorite color:  pink

Is it in my wedding?  definitely!  all of the flowers are shades of dusty rose and hot pink

House:  each room is different - our den/living room is red, the guest room is green, kitchen is neutral, dining room is black and white, office is blue, bathrooms are brown/blue and our bedroom is chocolate brown/ivory and the outside of the house is bright yellow!

  • 1. My something blue was my bouquet with blue delphinium

    2. My favorite color is blue.

    3. Yes, along with dark brown and gold accents

    4. Our walls are a pale green color that looks blueish in the light. Most of the things we have bought for our home (we haven't touched some stuff) are either blue (my fav) or green (DH's fav).

    <div>Blue:  My undies.</div><div>
    </div><div>Fave color:  Blue, coincidentally.</div><div>
</div><div>Totally planned to use blue in the wedding - I started with a picture in my head of the bridesmaids in pewter-colored dresses and blue/slate/ivory flowers.  The bridesmaids ended up in truffle, and the flowers (which I still intended to be blue & ivory) ended up in ivory, burgundy, and mauves/pinks.  Never saw myself as a "pink" person, either.  LOL  The best laid plans of mice and men...</div><div>
</div><div>The house doesn't have a color scheme.  We moved into a place where each room was painted a different color and actually love their choices.  So the bedroom has sage walls and we got gold/tan bedding & beige curtains.  One bathroom is blue & beige, the other red white & black.  Living room has off-white walls, and we've got H's black leather couch & chair, my pink leather chair, and a glass table.  The dining room is a light mustard/butter on the walls, with reddish wood furniture and the fish tank.  Kitchen is a muted green & grey.</div>
  • What is/was your something blue?  Undies and garter.

    What's your favorite color? Green!

Did you use that color in your wedding? No!  We couldn't find green BM dresses in a shade that we liked, so our wedding was coral, gold and ivory mostly.  But we didn't really do "colors" I must confess!

What color scheme is your house?  A hodgepodge of DH's oriental patterned red stuff and my light green stuff.  It's quite a scene.  When we finally get back to the same time zone together and, with the discretionary income we will have after not paying for two households, I'm sure we'll come up with something.

  • What is/was your something blue? my mother's ring that her mother gave her. Its a Star Saphire. I may also be wearing blue shoes if I cannot find good green ones

    What's your favorite color? purple

Did you use that color in your wedding? yes. I'm using aubergine/eggplant as one of the colors

What color scheme is your house? right now the downstairs has the walls in neutrals with some red, orange and yellow in paintings. The upstairs is really random. I plan on making our next house more cohesive
  • What is/was your something blue?   my underwear!

What's your favorite color? Purple....although I realized that green is a close 2nd.

Did you use that color in your wedding? the colors were blue and green - shades you'd find in hydrangeas.

What color scheme is your house? I'll let you know when we move!  Right now the color scheme is, "What sells this condo"
  • 1)There's going to be blue lilacs in my bouquet ... I've also been debating sewing a ring that FI gave me that has an emerald and a saphire in it to my crinni

    2) I guess it's called "aqua". Growing up, I used to call it "Wish" because it was the same color as Wish Bear from the Care Bears

    3) My main colors are deep purple and pewter ... so unless I can find some little detail for it somewhere, probably not

    4) Currently I have really bright, light green walls (Almost like a pale clover color), blue curtains with sand colored furniture and dark woods. The paint sample for the walls looked more "sage-y", and we've been too lazy and broke lately to try correcting it, lol
