Friday Trivia

Post you answer then a new question. I'm home with a stomach bug today so I'll be checking in more than I was able to last week.

Since today is the day for the WP Secret Santa's to get their gifts in the mail, I'm going to try to keep all my questions holiday centered. I'm Catholic so they'll probably be more Christmas centered. If anyone can add Hanukkah questions, please do so (I know more about Seder).

In A Christmas Carol, what was the name of Ebenezer Scrooge's partner?

Jacob Marley, of course!

And it's the last day to send gifts, not receive them...although I apologize to mine, it may be a little late :(

What do Tony the Tiger and the Grinch have in common?

Do you mean the character, movie or song? The guy who sings it sounds like Tony the Tiger. If it's the movie or character, I have no guess.

What is the first gift of Christmas in the Polar Express?
We may need an answer in a couple of hours.

In the meantime,
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a ____?
The____ were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that ____ soon would be there
Ma in her ____ and I in my cap
Had just settled in for a long _____
When out on the lawn there arose such a ____
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there
Ma in her kercheif and I in my cap
Had just settled in for a long winter's nap
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

I believe all of those are correct.

So, next question: What are Santa's reindeer's names? (All 9)

Donner is wrong! It's close though...

ETA: And now that I Google it, apparently it started as Dunder and Blixem and developed from there. Who knew reindeer names would be so interesting: http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/donner.asp

Wow, these questions are rough! I'm just going to start randomly guessing.

Tricia - is it Nativity pops, for all you quiet nativity needs? I can only imagine they would be shaped like a manger or something.

The only other guess I have is candy canes...or gum drops...or divinity. Is it divinity?
