I need to find some time to make some hamantaschen!

I was always jealous of the kids growing up that got to wear rollerblades as part of their costumes, because it looked really fun to skate around the halls of the synagogue.  My mom didn't let us.  If only I still had rollerblades.

My FI and I are going as pirates! We are in the middle of reading this great book called "Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean" and it inspired us to dress as pirates this year!

I haven't been to a Purim party in at least 9 or 10 years but because FI is in the middle of converting, he is experiencing the Jewish holidays other than Pesach, Hannuka, Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashana. Also, he is going to be meeting my childhood rabbi for the first time, and his sponsoring rabbi for his conversion. Hopefully she will also be the rabbi who will marry us. Up until this point, he has only spoken to her through email. I'm very excited.

Since my son is getting married on Purim, I'm guess I'm dressing up as the mother of the groom?  ;-)
