Kippot Poll... Satin or suede?

I want suede kippot for the wedding... fi thinks its a waste of money and we should just go with the satin.

The cost difference is only $60, which IMO, is not enough money to change my mind. The kippahs will be black with gold writing on the inside.

Which do you prefer??

Especially if it is an outdoor ceremony, you should go with the suede. Less chance of them blowing off.

I'm happier not putting cow skin on my head, so I voted satin. It's what we used as well.

I vote suede, mostly since its a fall wedding. But I also would vote suede because I went to a wedding last night with satin kippot and I just didn't think they looked as nice/clean, personally.

I prefer suede - but could understand wanting to save $ in this area....all the little things add up.

We used satin. They just seemed more wedding-like to us. But if you prefer suede and the difference in cost is not much, why not?

Our wedding was planned for 10-10-10 and we had to make changes because we moved to Florida and now it will be on 10-24-10. Ladies, that is a complete re-do of the wedding and I am ahead of schedule!

I had already ordered kippot from Mazeltops (with the 10-10-10 inscribed) so I will orer new ones; but we chose white satin ones. They just appeared more wedding like. My family and I literally had a conversation about this last night and I mentioned suede, so we pulled out the ones I had and my mum still chose satin. Either will look nice and we got clips to attach so hopefully they should not fly off!
