Bridal Bouquet pricing

Do you guys know how much your bridal bouquet is costing? Or bridesmaids too? My florist quoted me at $200 for my bouquet, it's a cascade of white roses and greenery, with steffenotas..(sp?) - does this seem pretty average for cost?

Re: Bridal Bouquet pricing

  • It really depends on your area. My initial estimate for mine was $150.... and I am in a small, rural MN town. So I think for Minneapolis, $200 is very reasonable.

  • Mine is $125 for the "modest version" and $150 for the "impressive" version. But my bouquet is mostly leaves, plants and mums, with few a succulents, so the stems are not very pricey.  And it's a round, hand tied bouquet rather than cascading.

I think $200 for cascading sounds pretty reasonable, depending on what kind of roses she is using. If you want to spend less than $200, ask her what she could do for $175 or $150.

  • I was quoted $125 but mine is solid lavendar roses with wrapped stems. coming from LA that was super reasonable...

  • DYI sea shell bouquets. Looking on line they are 150 a peice. I have three more to go.

  • Mine is $170 for all peonies.

My bouquet was listed at $109; I negotiated on the final flower total.
I was on a very limited budget and was going to use Costco bulk flowers but none of the packages worked for me. I had a friend who used amazonflowers.us and had a good experience. This is where I purchased all my bridal party flowers; they have an option to "make an offer" and I got about 30% the list prices.

My wedding is in another state so everything I have done has been from afar; so I did not mind just picking flowers via pictures.
  • I am using silks, and made it for $28, lol.

One of my friends who just got married had a bouquet of pink and white garden roses, stephanotis, and some greenery. It was $175.

  • I have been quoted $95 for mine. It's a round, hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas, purple and white tulips, lavender roses, and purple sweet peas with lemon leaf accent. :)
  • I am not sure of the cost for my bouquet as when I did my consultation they made up a mock bouquet to show me what they will use and what it will look like (lavender roses) and all together with the BPs bouquet boutonnieres, flowers for the church, the FG, parents, grandparents godparents, everything it costs total 857$.  I had budgeted 1000 so this worked out well.

  • Mine is $150: white roses, white peonies, mini mango cala lilies and mini lime hydrangea.

  • Mine is $150 for purple hydrangeas, white roses, and green spray roses.  $200 sounds about right for the cascading look you're going for.

  • I was quoted $195 for a cascade of roses and callas.
And, like $45 for BM's of roses. But, that has all been changed, and I am waiting on a re-quote.

My bouquet will be similar to yours - cascading and similar flowers. Pricing for mine was approx $200 as well, maybe a little more.

Flowers is the one thing I think I really splurged on. I'm spending $1,100 total.

  • is it not rediculous that we have to spend $200 on roses, when even at the peak season for them ?(valentine's day, when they're most spendy) a dozen will STILL only cost you about $50?! I mean, REALLY!! Does it really take so much time, effort and product that  costs another $50-$150?! geeze, for those prices, I'm almost tempted to DIY. I took a flower arranging class in high school, so I DO know what I'm doing, I just won't have time to make all the fresh flower corsages or bouts. It just drives me crazy though, to know that I'm spending (what I feel) is a LOT of money for something I could make that would MAYBE cost me $45

</div><div>That's going to be a huge bouquet!! I would see if they can do a mock up for you. You just don't want to add your bouquet weighing 10 lbs. as another stressor on the day.

I think that sounds pretty reasonable from what I have heard. We are DIYing ours and mine will cost about $50 for all premium roses from costco.com.

Would I pay $200 on my bouquet? No. My whole flower budget is $350-$400. This includes ceremony and reception. It will take me and my sister (and anyone else who wants to help) a few hours to put them together. We have done it before and it isn't too complicated.

I asked them if it'd be too think and they said it shouldn't be a problem. They did my cousin's wedding and all florals for my grandpa's funeral. I completely trust them. But yeah thickness and whatnot was a concern and I asked at our meeting
  • We're making all of them ourselves and we've been buying the flowers on sale at Hobby Lobby. I have no idea how much they're costing.
  • We're also making all our ours and all the flowers (which has ended up being a lot between the wedding party, parents and grandparents) cost only $70 and then another $20 or so for the ribbon and wire.  Like Midge we bought on sale and with coupons when we could!
  • Mine is $175.  Moh is $75 and BMs are $60.

That's good! I'm glad you already asked. I've seen a bride before and her bouquet was so massive and not proportional to her body.
  • MY bouquet will be comprised of only the most beautiful and rare flowers.  The majority will be the Kadupul flower which only flowers for a few hours before dying. I also plan on having the Shezhen Nongke Orchids wrapped around the Kadupuls and a few crocuses (Saffron only, of course) within that.  It should cost at least $500,000.  But it's so worth it because like, it's my wedding.

I hope you have factored in the cost of the Kadupul attendant you will have to have. I mean, no one wants dead Kadulpul flowers in their bouquet. You will need replacements STAT! Maybe the fish centerpiece attendant can multi-task...

<div>Uhm, we will obviously have a neverending supply of the Kadupul flower and they will be swapped out every hour on the hour.  No need to hire anyone.  I have slaves I mean bridesmaids for that.  And if they don't like it, I'll kick them out.  Our amazing friendships be damned. </div>

They should feel lucky for even getting to touch the Kadupul flowers. Don't they realize how privileged they are to be trusted with such an honor AND be in your wedding?
