How soon after the wedding will you start trying?

I put undecided but we DO have a plan, and are planning on having our first in 5 years. I am trying to get a PhD and still have at least 4 years of schooling left, so we won't start trying until I'm done.

We just decided to start trying in September!  We will be 29 and 31 when married and decided to start much sooner that I thought we would.  I am kinda excited

I dont mind at all!! I have Mirena (IUD) and I have been on it for a year. Before that I was on the BCP, but the hormones gave me migraines. I decided to go off it now so that by the wedding my period is regular... I dont want to be spotting and now know when/if my period is coming!

Never. We do not want children.

Skybrie-my understanding is that any sort of hormonal BC (the pill, the patch, etc) you can get pregnant immediately HOWEVER it usually takes 1-3 months. I once went off the pill for three months and I didn't not get my period at all during that time. 

If you have a non-hormonal IUD you can get pregnant immediately (and two of my friends got pregnant the first month off their IUD).

Waiting at least a year before I go off BC, although I would like to begin having kids before 30...which means within the next 3 years or so..

We are waiting about 5 years if ever. Age has nothing to do with it (I'm 28 and FI is 31). We both really enjoy our lifestyle right now. We like to travel and want to see the world. We also recently bought an older home and enjoy fixing it up. Our priorities right now are elsewhere.

Honestly, we don't plan on having kids and at this point in time have no desire and are not ready at all... but who knows this could change in the future.

We are going to stop using condoms after the wedding. I am hoping for a honeymoon baby.

I am on BCP, and as soon as my pack runs out after the wedding, we are "pulling the goalie" (Marley and Me Reference . 

We won't exactly be trying, but if it happens, it happens. We are very excited

After the wedding for sure, but sometime in the next four years. Sooner rather then late, but we're a more if it happens it happens if not we will adopt.

At least a year or two. I'm only 24 so I have time, but FI turns 28 right after the wedding and would like to start sooner rather than later.

This is like us. I'll be 23 and he'll be 29. He already feels old and so he wants to start having kids right away. But, we haven't even decided what I'm going to do about job/career/school after the wedding. If I am going to Vet school (as it looks I will be) we will have to wait 4-5 years.

I put at least a year. It'll probably a little longer than that though. Ideally, I would like to have a baby in the Fall of 2014, so that would put me getting pregnant at around 1 year and a half after we get married. I'll be 24 and FI will be 26 when we get married, so we won't be that old, but FI wants to have a lot of kids and I know I'll be ready by then. I'm already baby crazy!!

FI is refusing to use condoms after we're married, so let's hope I'm really good about taking my birth control!! I'm going to be a nervous wreck!

No kids for us....I'm 80% sure I don't want any, FI is 95% sure, we are planning on making a final decision in 4 years because neither of us want to have any after 35 (I will be 34, FI will be 35 in 4 years). 

FI already wants a vasectomy (and wanted one since he was 20).....he's just waiting on my final say!

:) We are very similar.. I am 28 (29 when we get married) and I feel like I am in no rush... but would look at 34 as the last possible time to have them. FI is 5 years older so he is already 34.

I'm not sure we're ever having kids.

I'm on the pill right now and I prefer we use condoms as well, for the time being, just for back up measures.  I won't be purchasing any more condoms after we're married but I will remain on BC.  Whatever happens happens.  We don't have a timeline for kids because we aren't planning for kids.
