Invitations issues

Why can't I find any wedding invitiations that I like? My Wedding Planner has given me 3 huge books with examples of invitations, save the date, etc so why can't I find anything? I've spent hours looking online and I honestly give up. Every set of invitations I've looked at has a ribbon and I don't like it(not against ribbons but don't want to assemble it) Is there anything else out here besides ribbons on wedding invitations? Please can somebody steer me in the right direction or pick out some darn invitations for me? Grrrrrrrrrr looking for invitations sucks a**!

Sorry you are having issues! 123print.com and vista print have simpler ones, and they are cheap.

I can't find inspiration for my BM necklaces and it is gettng frustrating, so I kind of know how you feel!

A lot of the ones with ribbons you can order without.  Ours had a ribbon but we didn't want it so we just ordered it without and it's perfect!

How about starting with having your "must have" for the invitation.  You said you don't like ribbon.  Do you like flat or folded invitations?  Flourished scrollwork or Monogram? Patterned or silhouettes? Lots of color?  Maybe you can narrow it down that way.

Do you know anyone who is into graphic designing? I have friend who a graphic designer and I showed her some invitations I liked or said what I liked about certain ones and told her the colors I wanted and she just went to town. She came up with something that I fell in love with and hadn't seen anywhere before and it is perfect.

Thank you for feeling my pain!! I never thought getting invitations would be so frustrating. Bling out their jewelry(if you like bling) Try Hancock's Fabric, Micheal's, Hobby Lobby...if you want to spend money Charming Charlie's, The Icing, Claire's.

I've actually thought about that and the funny part my younger sister is in her last year of Art School majoring in Animations/Graphic Design...time to black mail her into doing me some invitations. Thanxs!!!

The best part is the girl that is doing ours I told her what I thought I wanted and she came up with something even better - she came up with 5 or 6 originally and we narrowed it down to 2 and then she started playing around with those even more and making them better so we are totally in love.</div>

You can find great invitation suites on Etsy.  We had ours designed and then I printed them and assembled them myself using material from Cards & Pockets, but most Etsy sellers will also assemble the entire invitation if you're not up to DIYing it.

It took me forever to finally get something I loved (I ended up designing mine).  Another place I'd suggest is magnetstreet.com.

Melissa - how much are you paying a graphic designer to do that?  And are you printing them yourselves now?  I can't find anything that I love for the life of me and am considering going that route.

Yeah I felt the same way as well. Someone on here suggested the green kangaroo and that's where I got my invites from. I love them but they are a little more pricey
