When you grew up...

Re: When you grew up...

  • I can't wait until I have kids!!

My Santa gifts were always wrapped for the most part. There were a few big gifts that I got over the years that couldn't be wrapped or occasionally all of them would be wrapped and there would be one item unwrapped and sitting in front of or on top of my pile of gifts. Our stockings had a mix of wrapped and unwrapped gifts in them and Santa always was the one to fill our stockings. I usually got 2 or 3 gifts from my parents and the rest came from Santa. Our Santa gifts were also always wrapped in different wrapping paper than all of the other gifts. I am 28 and I also still get a stocking and gifts from Santa :)  Santa also stops at my Mom's for FI, and FMIL's for me.. We are such good kids ;)

  • I had this exact discussion with girls I work with yesterday. Must of them had unwrapped gifts from Santa. I was shocked! There were 3 of us and my mom wrapped each of our gifts in separate paper and also wrapped every little stocking stuffer. This is what I plan on doing for my children

  • No matter the holiday.... there is nothing I've enjoyed more throughout my life than unwrapping a present. That's the majority of the fun behind it! So my parents would always wrap presents from Santa but were careful to use a different kind of paper for Santa's stuff and another kind for what they got us. I thought it was pretty fun.... no matter what you call 'Santa', it's part of what actually makes Christmas magical. I miss that magic! lol

[QUOTE]Ours were always wrapped in different paper and had our names in thick black marker on them and Santa written under it in fancy cursive.

Yes!! lol I forgot about the fancy script and our names in thick black marker... my mom was responsible for this. She was like the #1 most creative mom I ever met lol
