Since we're all about 2/3 months away....

Re: Since we're all about 2/3 months away....

• Ladies, be glad if you can set up the day before! I'm getting married at an Aquarium, that will be open to the public until 1.5 hours before my ceremony starts. We can't set up until then! And I was silly- instead of getting regular flower centerpeices, I'm having floating candles and flowers. I have no idea who's going to set that up (florist has to arrive about 4 hours earlier to drop off bouquets).

I'm also stressing because of FI. We're down to decision making time (sweatheart table or not? Ceremony music choices?) and I can't seem to get him to focus on making a decision.

I'm also afraid of forgetting something. I think we have everything but the cake all set, but I always think there must be something else.
• Weather has been super unusual the past few weeks and that makes me wonder what it will do the first Sat in June. - THIS!!! Only one of the biggest concerns for me since the ceremony is outdoors and the back up plan isn't one I want to use but will if necessary.

The other concern is work, believe it or not. Since my FI and I are the two key players in the residential program and the on-call person will be at the wedding, we're both legitimately worried that something will happen that night that will require immediate attention and stress for our guests or worse - us.

There isn't much left for us to do, which is making me antsy. Every last thing now is appointment based so we can't do anything until the date of the actual appointments (dress fittings, bridal shower, cake tasting, etc.) so I feel stuck.

• Getting everything done! We live in NC, wedding in NJ. FI travels every week, I have several work trips out to MO planned, and oh yeah, and we are also planning a move to OH 2 weeks after the wedding. How the heck are we supposed to get anything done when we are all over the map?!? And, it's really hard to give a crap about small details like escort cards, favors, WP gifts, OOT bags, etc when there is all this other major stuff going on. [Stress vent over...]
Anniversary
• I'm most nervous about the day-of timeline. I literallllly have nightmares about it. The ceremony is at 2 but because all 6 BMs and myself are getting our hair and makeup done, plus FI's two sisters and both our mothers are getting their hair done as well, we have to be at the salon at 8am. Which means the BMs are going to have to get up at like 6:30 and I'm just really worried about a couple of them. My BFF & MOH is actually a top concern on the getting up front, I'm considering asking her to stay the night with me just so I can be sure she gets her a$s up.

I also am really nervous lately about my hair. We bought my veils & I have my hair trial on April 14th but I can NOT figure out what I want to do. I originally wanted half up and half down, with a headband, but I'm pretty young-looking and I don't want to look like a 12 yr old. Then I thought about all the way up, but I have naturally very curly hair so I have all these little baby-hairs at my scalp and they do NOT cooperate. I'm afraid they'll stay hairsprayed until halfway through the night, and then stick up like antennas the rest of the evening.

Also on this note, I asked FI how he thought my hair should be and he said he had no idea. So I said "well when you think about our wedding day, like me walking down the aisle, what do you see?" To which he informed me that HE HASN'T THOUGHT ABOUT IT! I'm sorry but I literally think about this moment like 3492835 times a day and he hasn't once thought of it yet?!?!? START THINKING!

Feels good to get it out!

Aww, I don't think he means it the way you took it. He thinks about it. He just doesn't think about the aesthetics of it like we do.

• I am mostly worried about my kids and the wedding. I would really like all 3 of them to be involved in the ceremony. However, the twins are 3 and I can barely get them to walk to the car without getting sidetracked. I feel horrible for wanting to exclude them but don't want them to freak out as they are walking down the aisle in a catholic church. I took them last night to church to meet with the lady singing at our ceremony and they wanted to run and dance. Ugh!

I think its a guy thing, I wouldn't take it too personal. I have learned through this whole wedding planning process that guys just don't get excited over the details like us brides do

• Some members of my family can be really odd(not quirky but just mean and vengeful) so I'm really worried about my FI being embarrassed in front of his family.

We had some drama last weekend with a couple of siblings upset that they weren't groomsmen. I have 6 brothers so it was impossible to make them all groomsmen esp when FI had picked 8 already. One of my siblings I'm not worried about but the other has a terrible temper. Just praying that everything goes smoothly in that arena. I just want a drama free wedding.

• I'm nervous about the weather for our outdoor ceremony, how my family will act (the adults tend to act like children!), and how many people will actually show up. I have started what seems like a never ending to do list Frown I didn't realize wedding planning was going to be this stressful.

[QUOTE]Budget woes is mostly our worry at the moment. We can afford everything we are doing, we just feel like we are spending SO much money on one day. We could literally buy a car wtih all the money we are spending. It is a down payment on a house. It's mind boggling when you think of it that way! I know it's really getting to FI and because of that it's getting to me. Trying to take a step back from it all and remember what the day is really about!!

[QUOTE]Re: Ceremony music stress I had an epiphany last week that I wasn't going to be hearing hardly, if any, of the prelude music and therefore just picked some pretty songs off the list that my organist gave me. It was so wonderful.

• I'm stressing that I have so much to do and will literally be doing wedding stuff every weekend until my wedding. I still need ceremony musicians and transportation, we need to do marriage prep with our priest, I need to order invitations, we need to get our rings, and 390389045830 other things! Ahhhh! I know I'll get it all done, but I can't wait to check some more stuff off of my list.
