Destination Wedding

June 21,12 is the wedding date. We Chose to have our wedding at Majestic resorts in  Dominican Republic. Any other June brides having a destination wedding?

No we are having our wedding here. But we can't wait to go on our honeymoon!

I cant wait to go on mine as well. Although it is at the same resort. However, we will be in an exclusive part of the resort for the honeymoon. No one can bother us unless we go see them. The best of both worlds

Ha that will be nice. I've heard of people doing them on cruise ships with lots of family. Cruise ships are crouded and you're always seeing the same people! I'm sorry.. but I don't want my family always there with me!

Yeah we looked at cruises when we decided to do a destination wedding. I didnt like the time constraint of fifteen minutes. Yes they told me the wedding ceremony could only be 15 mins weather we did it on the boat or once we dock at a country. I didnt want a long wedding but I dont want to feel rushed

I am not having a destination wedding, but my best friend is getting married in the DR, I think at the same resort as you. I have seen a lot of pictures it is so beautiful!

We're not doing a destination wedding, but are planning on going to the Dominican for the honeymoon.  All our friends who have been LOVED it there!

I consider mine a "destination wedding" because half of the guests have a 9 hour drive (or couple hour flight), and the other half of the guests have at least an hour--and up to 4 hour--drive to get there. Plus it's in Florida so it's beachy and most of the guests are making a vacay out of it, but it's still in the good ole USA.

I'm having a Destination Wedding in Las Vegas. Originally I was going to go with an Island but ended up deciding on Vegas because I found it more cost effective for my guests.

I am having a 2/3 destination wedding in Hawaii. I grew up there and my parents, my dad's family and a portion of my mom's family live there, but our entire wedding party (including us), college friends and FI's family will have to fly in. Also, I grew up on a different island than the one we're getting married on, so some of my high school friends and their parents would also have to fly. It's difficult planning from 3,000 miles away, which is why I got a wedding planner! Even with her help, there are still tons of details to work out and keep track of, but I think it'll be worth it! We're getting married in the church my parents got married in and where I was baptized, so it'll be special.

I think we are going to DR for our Honeymoon.
I am having a destination wedding in Utah. We live in New Mexico... FI is from Utah and most of my family is in Utah or Wyoming. So it made more sense... plus it is soooo pretty up there.
