First DIY-Save the Dates!

So, I know that I'm not going to be doing a lot of DIY because when it comes to most things DIY, I don't have a lot of skills. However, I took a few design classes in college, so I thought I'd try my hand at making my own save the dates and possibly my own invitations. Since I received my disc of engagement pics from my photographer, I thought I'd try working on my STDs. Here's what I have so far--please tell me what you think and offer any suggestions! It's going to be a postcard and I'm going to print them on Vistaprint. I'm also going to design a back for them.



ETA: I blocked out our last names, so imagine them there and not a weird blank space!

I was thinking the same thing! Super cute! If I was using STDs I might steal that idea, but we're not using them. :) Great job!

I will say that I'm not typically a huge fan of the calendars on the STDs, but I think it works really well on yours

Thanks so much y'all. I changed the right side background to more of an ivory because I'm thinking about doing this on the back side. What do y'all think? Is this too different from the other side for them to be one postcard front and back? I really like this, but I'm just not sure if it "goes" with the other side.

I really like the back!!!!!!!

I am wondering though if the you're doing these as postcards, make sure there is room for the stamp and I also wonder if the post office requires the deliver to on the right.  I truly have no idea though.  Maybe you can try flipping the image so the two of you are on the left and the more empty space is on the right for the stamp and the addressee.

I was actually wondering the same thing as I didn't think about the stamp until after I'd placed the image. I was originally doing something completely different on the back and that picture ended up like it is because I made a mistake. I'm pretty sure the stamp has to be on the right, not sure about the address. I might try flipping the image, thanks for the tip!

ETA: Thanks for the tip about the coupon, I got the same one last week! I think that's partially what spurred my creativity!
