Any interfaith weddings on here?

I am a little sad about the lack of activity on the interfaith boards the knot and on weddingbee. I wish they were a little more active. I am Lutheran and my fiance is Jewish. I am wondering if there are any other couples on here who have different faiths.

Re: Any interfaith weddings on here?

  • We started out with different religions, but I converted.
I wasn't a Christian but found Christ coming up on two years ago.

  • We technically are different religions but they overlap a lot.  My FI is a Buddhist and I'm a Taoist.

  • We're having a Catholic wedding. FI is agnostic. FI's family is Born Again Evangelical - the version that hates Catholics with a burning fiery hate. It's interesting. :)
  • We're having a Catholic wedding. I'm Catholic, FI is not religious. The interfaith part of our marriage prep was our favorite. The couple has been married for 28 years and you could just tell how in love with each other they still are. It was so sweet
  • We are similar to Zims- I'm Catholic and my FI isn't religious. He was baptized in a non-denominational church but hasn't been to church ever.  We're getting married in a Catholic church but we aren't having a mass, just a 'service'

  • We are both Christians, however FI is Methodist and I am Catholic. We opted for the shorter version of the Mass without communion so it is awkward for FI's family. I attend church with FI, and he also attends church with me, and it gives us an appreciation for our different religions.

  • We are having an interfaith ceremony. We couldn't find a rabbi and a pastor that would do the ceremony. We could only find one rabbi who would perform an interfaith ceremony with a pastor and we didn't like her, so we opted for an officiant who would help us to incorporate our traditions from both faiths. We were really happy.
