something old!

I finished mine over the weekend and I am soooo excited.  My mom is amazing and I really wanted to incorporate part of her dress into mine.  Unfortunately hers is very ivory and mine is very white and the styles are totally different.  I came up with the idea to sew some pearls  from her dress onto bobbie pins and wear them in my hair, since the ivory won't be so noticable in my hair and I will be wearing them all day.  Despite my lack of craftiness, I think they turned out well enough!
I am also carrying a brooch from each of my grandmothers on my bouquet.

It's these kind of little details that are making me the most excited about the whole thing!

I don't have a picture but I'll be wearing my grandma's necklace that my grandpa gave her during a really rough time for them.  The necklace means a lot to her and I'm really excited she's letting me wear it.

I don't have a picture either. I will be carrying a hankie that both my grandma and mom carried on their wedding days. It will be wrapped around my flowers.

I am using a piece of my mom's dress, too. Here's had these 3-D flower things on it, very similar to my dress, so we are "harvesting" those flowers and using them in my hairpiece. I think it makes her very happy I'm using some of her dress :)

I don't have a picture but I am wearing a ring on my right hand that my grandfather gave to my grandmother a long time ago.  My grandmother had it resized for me a year ago when she gave it to me.  It is diamonds and saphires so it is my something blue too!

I actually don't have a something old, borrowed or blue! I have been trying to find this, but I don't have a great relationship with most of my family (more for appearances, sadly) and if I used something it would come with strings attached!
