Scooter..he is 5 now, but this is my favorite picture of him. The knot is being cranky and won't let me upload my horses pictures, I will try another post.
I'm jealous! We now probably have enough land for a couple of horses, but I've never had one before so I wouldn't know where to start!! I'll stick with playing with other people's horses!
I'm in my PJ's and just finished a glass of wine. I wish we were going out though! I've been a bum all week long because I was sick (still am I think). Wanna trade, Meagan???
BrightFireFly- Horses are big, aren't they??? A lot of people get nervous around horses. They're actually a nervous animal! You should try riding with a guide some day, it's difficult to slide off something huge!
it's awesome!! We ride pretty much every weekend in the summer. I love living in the country.
Meagan that sounds so fun! I'm glad I am home and relaxing tonight. I leave Sunday to go to Idaho for work for a week, so my weekend is pretty low key.
BrightFireFly- Just go with a guide on a trail ride or something that you will have a Western saddle, they have a horn so you have something to hold onto. English saddle don't have a horn, so start on a wetern one. Between the horn and stirrups its really difficult to fall off.

Awesome to know. We go to the Smokey Mountains a lot - and they have guided tours. Always wanted to do it - maybe sometime this summer!
Yes, go for it!!! It's so relaxing riding a horse. I went to a horse camp for 2 summers- couldn't go anymore because my parents were paying for an interpreter 24 hours a day for a week straight.
I love your horses syddy! I'm being a bum as well tonight and staying in, but I haven't been feel well at all this past week so probably best to stay in.
I went to horse camp every year as a kid and I loved it. I think it's easier to start as a kid because you're more trusting, things seem scarier than they are when you're an adult.
That would be perfect, those would be trail rides, so I am sure they would be western saddles. You would have soo much fun. Those horses are dead broke, so they would be super calm, an awesome way to start.
I'e gone horsebacking once in my life and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I'm terrified of heights and falling and I survived. I am trying to find some place in Hawaii to go horseback riding (for our honeymoon) but not sure where to start.
OH! that's a great idea- horseback riding on your honeymoon. We should totally look into this for our honeymoon in Maine. FI gets light headed when he rides horses- they scare him haha.

Thanks- it's one of our e-pics. Our pup jumped into a swamp right after that pic. Here's a pic of him after it happened:
That little devil! Do you have any pets?

Meagan, where are you guys going??
Mekiakoo he is a black lab pit bull cross, but he's a total love, most people are shocked when I say there is pit bull in him.
