Our engagement photo session was scheduled for this evening at Golden Gardens. I was so excited - I had picked out our outfits way ahead of time. Left work early to do some ironing and had a makeup appt at the MAC counter. As I'm finishing up the makeup appt and buying product (which I spent twice as much as I was planning on....). I get a call from our photographer - she has to cancel because of the rain! I don't know why I had built this up so much, but I was totally devasted. I had spent all this time preparing, wrangling FI to be in the right clothes, clean shaven, and on schedule, I took time of work and spent money for the makeup appt, and now I have to do it all over again in two weeks! Ugh!!

Oh, I learned some from the MAC consultant, but I'm utterly hopeless when it comes to makeup - I wear nothing on a daily basis and all I own is some drugstore powder and blush! I bought some powder, concealer and lipstick, but nothing to do my eyes. Oh well.

If you want to get your make-up done again you could try the Aveda Institute... They are very affordable!

You might look for some inside locations in case it rains next time. The Seattle public library makes for some great pictures.

You know, some counters will do consultations and your makeup for free. Just don't tell them it's for pictures or act like you are getting it done for a special reason that day. Or ditto PP, do your face and just have them do the eyes.
