ok so i know im about 3wks to late lol but with more deaths in the family and the kids starting school things have been VERY hectic around here.....let me start by saying my wedding did NOT go as i planned but i wouldnt have changed a thing!!!...so Thursday dh asked me to get my stepdaughter's hair done (she has thick long natural hair which he wanted flat ironed and shirley templed for the wedding) so i spent 3hrs in a salon with her which really took a huge chunk out of my day...i was suppose to get my hair done that night(we'll get to that later...) well i still hadnt finished the broom, got my garter etc. but luckily hobby lobby was right next to the salon and had a 50% off bridal sale so i got the garter from there..by the time they finished her hair i had to rush thru atl traffic to get to the rehersal.....made it there and we only got to rehearse for about 30mins b/c it began to rain
....so once it stopped we headed home where dh started his grand idea of his "rehearsal dinner back yard bbq" by the time we actually got to our house we already had 40 ppl there (not including the wedding party) mostly his family, my family and our friends....somehow i ended up being the bartender mixing drinks for everybody and their mama and manning the grill b/c dh found EVERY excuse to leave the house to go to the store to buy more things lol...i was really irritated as i needed to get my hair done and couldnt leave b/c he was gone....he left to take his dad's suit (his dad lives 30mins from us) so finally i said F'it and pricelined a hotel for myself and the girls...ironically the same hotel my friend who was doing my hair was staying at...i didnt get to sleep til 1am.....
so Friday rolls around and i cant rreach ANY of my bridesmaids...the only 1 who showed up at my room to get dressed and help me was my little cousin whom is my lifesaver!! she helped me with all the girls getting them dressed and ready and keeping them entertained. my friend and her friend helped to do their hair which put me even more behind b/c i still had not gotten MY hair done......so they start my hair around 11....after hair and makeup i didnt get done until 6:10...and the wedding was for 6pm.....everybody was blowing my phone up asking where i was b/c all the guest where there and the coordinator was antsy but i kept telling them i had 3 kids to get ready by myself with no help other than my bm and my friend. so they can wait!! (yes bridezilla finally emerged) i waited an extra 10 minutes so my cousin could get her makeup done...i didnt want to leave her after all she did for me.....the photographer came and picked up my girls (very pissed b/c i didnt get ANY of the pre wedding or getting ready pics) so we get to the country club and it looks BEAUTIFUL...the ceremony lasted all of 15minutes....we spent about 30minutes taking pics outside while every1 else was doing the cocktail hour.....the reception was off the chain!! the dj had everybody dancing from begining til end....i'm still getting people texting me askin me for the dj's info lol....overall it was amazing i wouldnt change a thing!!! Aruba was WONDERFUL so peaceful and serene i for one am just glad its OVER lol now i dont have to stress over it anymore!!!!
