Ist dance idea, Edelweiss...too corny?

was watching Sound of Music today and felt very inspired.

1) FI is half austrian, Im half german and it would be a good way to incorporate our heritage (his mom/my dad is from the motherlands so we both have strong connections to the culture)

2) it sounds amazing on acousitc guitar (we are having a live band)

3) we are going to be all pretty dressed up and it seems like the right attire for a waltz

4) would make couples dancing lessons all the more fun. 

5) Our parents would get a serious kick out of it, they will never see their children attempt it again.LOL

It's NMS, but because of yours and FI's culture it would be cute and meaningful.  Do it!

I actually like the song and my dad used to sing it to me and my sister as we went to sleep when we were little.  Because of that FI actually played it on the piano for the father-daughter dance as a surprise.  That said, I think it would make a cute first dance, IMO it's a really pretty song - although most of that is because it has sentimental meaning. 

Just FYI (in case people don't know) although the flower is from Austria the song isn't

i just wanted you to know that i read this post yesterday, and had that song stuck in my head for the majority of the day.

i say go with the song... its beautiful.
