I was 24 (last February), though we knew a couple years before that we wanted to get married. We were just waiting for the right time. I joined The Knot in 2006, so maybe I knew before that even..haha. I didn't become active until this past year, though.
I don't think 22 is young if you've been together for a while and are ready. I thought 25 was young to get married, but we've been together for 5 years now. There's a girl in my class who is 20 and got married when she was 19...makes me feel old.
Boy I feel like the oldest bride on here..lol..We started dating when I was 25 and engaged at 27 , he started talking marriage a yr into the relationship...and at 2 yr point I got my ring!

Well, I'm 24 now (he's 27), but, of course, we're not engaged yet...we just discuss marriage quite often. Probably around our next birthday (we have birthdays one day apart)...It's weird when you're in a long distance relationship, you always assume it'll be based on the times you set aside to travel to see eachother. Who knows?
@Nicky no worries I'm "old" too lol. We got engaged last year when I was 26. I know sooooo many girls that got engaged and married right out of high school so I feel kind of behind. I'm happy though and that's all that matters
meelabeela and NIcky, that is not old, you guys are going to make me think I am old too. Since he hasn't officially proposed yet with the ring, I will be "old" like you both, since I am turning 26 next month.
I got engaged at 26 My FI will be 30, 30 days after our wedding date...and I'll turn 28, 2.5 months after our wedding day. I personally think this was the best age for him and I....even though his parents say he waited too long and my parents say I'm too old LOL LOL
I'm the same age as most of you guys. I think i'm at the right age now! I got engaged the first time when I was 23 and realized it was the wrong choice for me. He hasn't propose offically yet, but he will propose this year so I'll be 26 the second time. Wow I can't believe it's been 3 years since the last time! Time flies
Wow, I think I am officially the oldest one here. Haha!
FI and i are both 30, and we got engaged two months ago. In one month and a day, we will both be 31. We have the same birthday, the same year, just 15 hours apart
Actually Raangoli - I think I sadly am the oldest one here. I was 31 when he proposed last June (he was 33); I will be 32 when we get married (he will be 34) and we will turn 33 and 35, respectively a few months after the wedding....
mkjasani - I don't think it's sad that we are older, I love it! Well, minus the grey hair. So NOT cool when you have super black hair and it stands out
Raangoli - this is very true... personally I just wasn't ready to get married any sooner - too career focused and just hadn't met anyone special, etc. I hear you on the grey hairs though - not so good... the guy doing my hair & make-up suggested this 'gloss/glaze' that covers it up and then rinses out over the course of a month. I tried it but am not a fan - I feel like it takes the dimensions out of my hair (i have dark brown/black hair but natural lighter brown and reddish highlights). So I decided my hair is natural every other day - why should I look like someone I am not on my wedding day. btw - just read you and FI have same bday - wow! kismet!
We enjoy sharing a birthday, it's like our own personal holiday
That's so neat that you have birthdays a day apart from each other, Sonali! I hope you get to see each other then!
mkjasani - I agree, I didn't want to get married any earlier, but we've been together for over 5 years. And as for the hair - I thought about dying or gloss, but like you said, it's not who I am, so why bother with it?
