....we're right smack in the middle of it....when is your RSVP date?

We sent out our invites at the end of April.  We set the RSVP date for 6/15 (very soon-yay!).  We decided to send the invites out early because we were concerned that people wouldn't RSVP in time and we'd be stressing out towards the end trying to figure out who was and who wasn't attending.  So far we still have about 25 families who haven't responded which isn't bad since we invited about 100 families.

My RSVP date is Jul 1.  Its gonna be a stressful 3 weeks trying to get missed RSVPs and create tables... I was veto'ed out when I suggested an earlier RSVP date.

Are you getting excited for the last few weeks?

How's the planning otherwise?

I get waves of excitement and then other times I'm just stressed!  I can't wait to be at the point when I can just sit back and relax - if the point ever comes lol. 

Are you doing assigned seating/tables?  I've been trying to create the seating chart as I've gotten RSVPs in but it's so hard without knowing who else is coming.  If you think of an easy way to do that let me know!!

How's your planning going?  Any big things you still have to get done?

Well I think we are waiting for more of a bulk of RSVPs before we start.  SOmething kind of annoying happened.  About 20 of our invitiations were returned to us because of insufficient postage I had to send them out again this morning.

Big things left: Transportation is a big thing....and I have to get some more accessories and négligée for my wedding outfits :P

Yikes!  That is annoying.  At least there's still more than enough time to send them before your RSVP date though. 

I haven't started looking for any transportation for the weekend at all   I need to work on that ASAP.  I also don't have shoes for my reception outfit AND I'm waiting on a tika I ordered for my ceremony outfit since the jewelry set I purchased didn't come with one AND I'm still trying to finalize someone to do my mehndi.  I think that's about it.  I'm sure little details will pop up later on but those are the only big things left to do.

I was on vacation visiting FI and has been MIA from the knot board...
I finished sending invitations early May...just few(2-3) extra ppl that fam decided to invite were send later. My rsvp date is June 7 as it has just passed in a week or so I am calling/emailing all that I havent heard from back yet, I made the rsvp's fool proof stamped and all with address printed on, they just have to mark their dinner choice and ppl coming and send it back!!! Not too to much to ask for right!! I guess it is cause there are ppl who havent sent them back..I am sorry for sounding this way but it def. the least someone can do if they are attending the wedding.ugh.

Also, I found out ppl are inviting others without even telling me, I hope they tell me because if I dont know they are bringing someone how can I have a seat for that person..:(, I hope you dont have issues of this sort!!

OMG that's terrible.  BUT I've also seen some people do dumb things.  Like one person begged us to invite their Significant other....

And another person said that his parents would come to the ceremony and him his bro and his wife and sister in law would come to the reception :S..  It was a mr and mrs invite for the ceremony only :S

Indian people are just crazy!  I just hope everything turns out ok...
