Hello everyone! So we have been batting wedding ideas back and forth for some time now, and due to our low budget, we decided that to make a wedding fun and meaningful to us and the guests and affordable, we are going to do a halloween-themed wedding, complete with costumes! I have lots of details and great things planned for the reception, which will be at a rented fire hall decorated for the event, however, when it comes to the actual wedding ceremony, I am on the fence!
My fiancee (the groom) really doesn't want a ceremony at all, but would rather do a justice of the peace and just focus on he reception party. Part of me doesn't want the bells and whistles of a ceremoney, either, but then again I think looking back on it I might feel like I missed out if I didn't have a ceremony for all to see and remember, and the ceremony is the whole point of a wedding, right? But when it comes to the ceremony, I would want something nicer and semi-formal, but he wants it in costume at the reception site ( and I don't want to be starring at him in costume while we say our vows lol) Yet if we did a formal ceremony beforehand, it would wind up costing more for different places and the wedding party would be shelling out more money for tuxes/dresses and then again for costumes. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading!
