Aw, thanks so much ladies!!!  I've been pretty busy today with lesson planning, going through my boxes of teaching materials, and packing the car for tomorrow!  I now have everything organized so when I walk in, I ask for my keys, and ask for someone to show me to the copier and I'll be ready for the day.  Hopefully I'll catch on quickly to this new school.  I'm the teacher with thousands of questions, always, and that has helped me to develop rapport with colleagues as well as students, so I'm hoping THAT approach starts me on the right foot!! :-)

Thanks so much for remembering me, you ladies are SO sweet!!!

You ladies are so sweet to remember me today.  I have 2 more classes coming in a few minutes so I am short on time, but I did have 1 pretty rough class... those poor students have been taught ... or rather haven't been taught ... and therefore they act out because its really the only thing they know how to do.  I know what my mission is with them, but it doesn't make it any easier.  Hopefully the last 2 classes will be more smooth (they're only 21 and 23 students, where the rough class has like 40). 

I am going to ask for a school administrator to assist me with the rough class... they have a reputation around school and they live up to that expectation because they don't know what else to do.  Although they don't realize it, they are craving structure.  Hopefully I can do it in a positive way that they will eventually be able to understand.  I'm not going to let it get me down, though, because God has certainly put some FANTASTIC students in my classes, even the rough class, and I just have to do everything I can to show them the love of Christ (and sometimes the TOUGH love!!!).

It was a bit better today, thankfully... my dept. chair spent the day with me so that I could get into the swing of things with the school.  I'm hopeful that it has an impact for tomorrow's behavior (in a good way), too.  The principal came by and congratulated me on how good of a job he had heard I was doing, etc, and that's a HUGE compliment for only being here for 2 days... :-)
