Weekly Recaps!

Hey! It's been more than a week, but I wanted to bring it back to Monday where it belongs.

Tell us 5 things about the last week (or week and a half, since the last one). These can be highlights, lowlights, events, thoughts, whatever.

1. The Department of State told me I need more info before they'll give me a passport. Le sigh.

2. I ordered glasses. I lost my last pair of glasses 10 months ago and have been glasses-less since, so this was very welcome.

3. Ryan found out he's a millionaire. He got a text from his bank that he has a current balance of 175 million dollars. Hahaha! Yeah, obviously that's a mistake but we had fun dreaming it was true.

4. I had a fantastic Sunday. Church, then the family I get a ride with to church took me to lunch. Then friends and I went out and saw Star Wars Episode One in 3D and Outback for my birthday treat.

5. I'm having my very first giveaway on my blog! I'm giving away a book! I'll be doing the drawing on my birthday. I think this will be very fun.

My life is moving insanely quickly right now.  Here are the highlights of the past week:

1. An usher (FI's cousin) dropped out of our wedding because his dog has diabetes.  And apparently there is no one else capable of giving the dog shots.  And poor FI feels that he is worth less than a dog.  Also, our organist dropped out, he at least has a better excuse in that he has to be at a conference in Chicago and cannot get out of it.

2. I have two potental job opportunities and am praying for clarity.  One is kind of my ideal job, but I feel I'm still underqualified.

3.  We met with our "mentor" couple yesterday, they had some really good advice for us.

4. I got good reviews on my paper, so after some more work on it it will be published

5. Tomorrow is 2 months till our wedding.  It's coming up quickly!

1. Wedding Vision: We had our tasting this weekend, met with the florist again and took my dress home! Everything is slowly coming together and the puzzle pieces are falling into place. I can't believe we will be at the 4 month mark on Thursday!

2. Another June Wedding: We got the STD in the mail for a close friend of FI's from college this weekend. Their wedding is 2 weeks before ours. Something else fun to look forward to for the month of June.

3. Reading: I have been reading a lot here lately. I am getting ready to start "The Hunger Games" series soon and I am anxious to see how they are since everyone says they are great.

4. Taxes: I finished my taxes and am planning on buying FI's wedding band with my refund. I wanted to put some towards credit card debt but won't have much left over after I get his band.

5. Winter: It seems like winter arrived this weekend. We had brrr cold temperatures with high wind gusts.

1. One of my close friends got engaged recently and just asked me to be a bridesmaid for her July wedding. So excited!

2. DH finally got a job and should be starting on Monday.

3. We went to Disney on Saturday with some family and friends and had a wonderful time!

4. The temperature finally looks like winter here! We were in the 20s last night.

5. My iPhone died this weekend, so I'm phoneless until we can get a replacement

1. "To-Do" no more!: Invitations are stuffed, stamped and in a box waiting to be mailed. One registry complete, one more to go!  Calendar guest "book" and other stationary ordered. Cake ordered. Menu confirmed with caterer. Flowers bought and bouquets are underway. Card box under construction. Pieces are slowly coming together and falling into place.

2. Spinning in Accounting: Ugh! I am in the midst of an ELEVEN-week Accounting class that I need in order to graduate later this year.  It is overwhelming and has my brain is a tailspin.  I swear, this class could not have come at a worse time... After tonight, there will be 8 more weeks. Lord, give me strength!

3. 2012=Year of Weddings: It seems each time I turn around, I'm hearing about someone else getting married this year. Heck, I witnessed two engagements over last weekend alone. I now have three weddings to attend before mine... One on 3/3, one on 3/31 and one on 4/7. It will be too late to steal ideas by then-but it will still be interesting to see how other brides' visions come to life. Then I must wait for my day to arrive.

4. Job Wanted: FI was in a contract position that was supposed to last until March... Until they cut him in mid-Jan.  He's currently looking for work, but is becoming increasingly frustrated. He wants to be able to provide and share the financial responsibilities, which I love him for. He is brilliant beyond belief... all he needs is a chance.  Praying God will open a door (or at least a window!)

5. Sleep: Life feels so chaotic right now. I sleep at night. But it isn't peaceful sleep and when I awake, I don't feel rested at all. I need a vacation... or even just a weekend... to just do NOTHING!

1. It's my birthday today!! We've been celebrating with family all weekend but tonight it's just me, FI, and my parents-- I'm looking forward to pizza, cake, and ice cream!

2. I told my grandparents I'm not getting married in the Catholic Church. It didn't go well. They aren't coming.

3. FI's car is broke. Yeaaah. We're hoping it's not going to be too costly to repair!

4. We started looking at new cars! And we have it narrowed down to a few models. Hoping to buy in July!

5. Decided on a bridal shower venue, menu and theme! My MOH and my mom are the best!

I am so sorry to hear this, ((hugs)). Do you think they will change their minds when it gets closer?
