Dealing with Stress and Prayer Requests

So, I have been experiencing a lot of stress lately-- work, family, my own mind getting the best of me in most cases. I have found that lifting things up in prayer for myself and for others is really helpful.
Is there any stress that you have been experiencing? I would love to pray for you guys and just open it up to share with each other.

Re: Dealing with Stress and Prayer Requests

  • randlettandfraleigh, I can definately understand the feeling. I am under a lot of stress  between school, wedding planning and work. It is a lot. But by the grace of God everything will be okay. Prayer does change things!

  • I will pray for you both!

I wouldn't say that I'm stressed, but H and I are looking for a new church and we are stuck between two. Prayers for God to lead us to the place where He wants us would be wonderful.
  • Praying for the stresses mentioned in the PP's.

The stress I have been dealing with is a financial stress. I have to live pay check to pay check and I hate having to charge some purchases when I get to the end of the month. I am looking forward to living together with FI/DH after we get married and finally getting my debt under control.

  • I'm praying for all the PP's stresses.

I understand stress - I'm defending my PhD on March 23 and getting married April 14.  Also I have to find a job in a specific location since FI's job has a contract and he can't move.  The past weeks I was so tense my back started acting up and I ended up in so much pain I could hardly walk and had to spend a day on the couch on muscle relaxants. I've found I need to take time to relax, do some stretching (I just got a yoga dvd yesterday, I hope that will help), and pray.  Easier said than done, but I'm trying.
  • Praying for you!
