Pants are considered a trademark of a man. (ie: the bathroom symbol. The man is always in pants.) And the bible says that women should not wear what pertains to a man. So that=pants. And yeah, they swim in skirts. And Ski. And everything else.

My h had a good point though, what if the person writing that chapter of the bible meant titles, not clothing? (like a woman shouldn't wear a man's title) It's so open to interpretation, it's ridiculous to base your whole life on one passage.

so really, I don't get it either. and that's why THESE ARE NOT MY PEOPLE.

I'd like to see them strap on a harness, climb a ladder, shimmy over a handrail, climb another ladder and drop down into some scaffolding in a tank.  If they can do that in a skirt we can talk.

min- this was also written two thousand years ago. It could've been "farmer", or "head of house".

And duckis, that is why it's so silly to assume that's what it means. Especially since when this was written, pretty sure everyone wore robes. All the time. All the same.

Maybe it meant women shouldn't wear a mans robe after he had already worn it?

i can do a ton of things in a skirt, but for some things, the skirt is arian-short.

I was going to say this bothered me: You can do anything you need to be doing, as a woman. That would be a lie. Even if the reference to the skirt were taken out, I'd still be bothered.
