This makes me feel so much better.  I thought I was a little crazy for sometimes lurking on The Bump, and going to BabiesRUs, or looking at baby stuff on the interent.  But, I'm in good company!  ; )

And, baby GTG's are an awesome idea!

I have considered trying now, but like sarack said, I don't want to be sick or not be able to drink at the wedding/honeymoon.  And, I can understand if you are not ready, financially or otherwise, but you will never be 100% ready.  I'm 30 and I don't want to wait forever and then not be able to conceive.  I have great insurance and FI being in school just means free childcare and night classes.  If he had a full-time job now, we'd have more money, but then we'd spend it on daycare.

[QUOTE]I changed my siggy to a shoe because I thought it would help. Ha! Sorry about the massive baby fever.

I, for one, appreciate this. I'm sure my uterus does too. Especially since your LO is quite possibly my favorite from the whole Seattle board. (That sounded horribly creepy, didn't it? But those cheeks of hers! They get me every time.)

DH would be stoked if we were pregnant now, and frankly it's a miracle/big disappointment that I didn't get ktfu while he was home in February. The timing is just so bad right now. I figure having babies and planning for them is the next logical thing to obsess over since I don't have a house to decorate.

[QUOTE]i had a tear-fest last night with my H about babies....i want one...SOOOOO bad...itching like crazy...and he just doesn't understand the biological clock thing that i'm terrified of...i mean, i'm not young anymore (although i'm nowhere near old...i just don't want to be old when we are trying to have our 2nd, 3rd, or 11th kid). he wants kids, but he wants his friends to be on-pace with us...which is so difficult since his friends are all reject-ards...

WAIT. I thought he was on board for Kev & Jen + 10? The latter part of this makes me kind of want to slap him. Really? If we did that, time would pretty much be going backwards. You should convince him that if you guys have a baby, that the baby fever will spread to his friends. (That's probably way off, isn't it?) Idk, we got married, and now a bunch of our friends are following suit... So it's possible, right?

ETA: The majority of our friends are married to their X-boxes and have no interest in relationships. But most of our 'couple' friends that were dating are now engaged and getting married.

yeah, its def possible...but his friends don't have girlfriends...or if they do...they are poor as dirt, and shouldn't be reproducing.

he's on board with jenn and kev + elev.....just not yet. it's just that his family all waited forever to get married (average of about 5-10 years of dating), have kids (mid 30's for the women), etc...he just doesn't want to "rush"...but i don't see it as rushing, because when his cousins all got married, etc, they didn't have steady jobs, own houses, or anything.....H has a steady job, i don't really "need" one with his income (and neither will baby), he has his masters, i have a bachelors, we own a home, and have a good chunk in savings....i just don't know what else we need to wait for.

Does it make me a bad person since I think you should just 'forget' your bc for a few days or something? Those are pretty ideal circumstances for baby making.

My DH and I have been discussing this since the wedding. I have so many friends that have newborns and I want one really bad. After our long discussion he came to a decision one day a couple weeks later that once we get approved for a home loan we can start TTC. I'm so excited to have kids its not even funny.

I went to dinner a week and a half ago with friends and they brought their 5 week old. I sat there for almost an hour holding him and everytime he started crying I rocked him back to sleep. He was such a good baby. They were all telling me that I was such a natural mom as I was calm and collected the whole time. I was just so happy to be holding him and to watch him sleep.

I am kinda scared to be pregnant but I have DH to help me through that and he will make things that much easier. I know he will be a great dad and that we both are ready to have a family of our own.

I have the opposite of baby fever...a baby cold? =p There is just nothing appealing to me about having a baby whatsoever. The day-to-day realities of parenting just seem to suck so much.

OMG I have serious baby fever!  My lil sis just had her first (and our first grandchild in the family) and she was just visiting, and I could NOT get enough of that sweet darling boy.  I am hoping we can start TTC on the honeymoon and thereafter.  FI and I talk about it, and he's excited to be a dad, but I think he's also strained with the financial aspect.  So I think we'll probably wait until we get a house, and then start.  Sooo, now I am hoping we can get a house ASAP. lol. Glad I'm not the only one who is suddenly baby crazed and lurking on the bump.

cupcake~ as much as i'd like to "forget" to take BC, our "original" plan was to start TTC 1 yr after the wedding...so i'll at least be good until then....although, i do admit i'm "bad" with my BC...sometimes on purpose..but i'll never purposely miss it for more than a day.....however, babies should be a mutual thing...i wouldn't want to force one on him like girls on 16&pregnant lol.

I am a surrogate and loved it. It is the best thing I have ever done (and will do again). My Surro Princess will be my flower girl. =)
