Alcoholic Reception Drinks

Hello ladies!!

I need help with some mixed drink ideas.. Where my reception is being held they do not provide any alcohol, but we are allowed to bring alcohol in as long as we take it to their bar and they have to serve it. So, we decided to get 2 kegs, one lager and one coors. I also want to do 2 mixed drinks, one rum/coke and I can't think of another one....
I want to keep it as cheap as possible. How is sprite, vodka and cranberry juice? I never had it but it would be an easy drink.

Otherwise, do any of you lovely ladies have any other ideas?? I'm a beer girl not a vodka drinker so I have no idea whats good, whats bad..
Anything would be greatly appreciated!!Laughing

  • I would do a vodka drink.  I like vodka and club with a lime.. very simple. But you can also have the cranberry as a mixer.
  • We are doing strawberry lemonade with vodka. The beauty of vodka is that it can basically be mixed with anything!

  • Your sprite, vodka, and cranberry idea sounds good to me.  I drink vodka and cranberry (Cape Codders) and I bet it would be great with a splash of Sprite.
  • If I were you, I wouldn't offer two mixed drink options - I would do two types of alcohol with all sorts of mixers, and let people choose what they want.

People can be VERY picky about their "drinks" - for example, I love vodka cranberry, but I do NOT drink carbonation, so a coke option and a sprite option wouldn't sit well with me. Like others said, you can literally mix vodka with anything. I would get some tonic water, some types of pop, and some types of juices, along with Vodka and Rum and perhaps Gin, and then let people order what they want.

Yeah, that is true! So any vodka can mix with anything?
    Again, i'm not a vodka drinker so I don't know anything about vodka<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

  • yep! Vodka cranberry, vodka tonic, screwdriver (vodka and orange juice), vodka and sprite....people drink all those things!  I would just get a plain vodka to make it simple - flavored vodkas can be delicious, but you wanna make it as easy as possible!
  • thanks for the info! Laughing
