    We moved in together in January, and he's admitted that he sucks with finances, so I handle everything, which is fine with me, and I'm SO proud of him because he has honestly done so great. We've paid off debts, and done very well so far. He has a career plan set, and so do I, and unfornutely with the economy and the jobs we're after, the state budgets are stalling our process. I know we'll never be millionaires, which I don't need, but I think wel'll be able to live comfortably. We're not planning on children or anything until we have a house...so we have plans. I guess it's just knowing it's FOREVER that is a little scary.

    We both have full time jobs now, but it's not quite the field in which we're looking to be eventually.

    It's relatively easy to keep your finances in order for 6 months. In another 6 months, is he going to be tired of having to save all the time? Are you going to be tired of having to be the one to always remember to pay the bills?

    I don't mind paying the bills. I'm a very take charge person, so that's fine with me. And doesn't everyone get tired of saving money at some point? Believe me, I wish we could just go out and buy whatever we wanted without thinking twice. It just doesn't happen that way for most people, esp. in today's economy.

    i never get tired of saving money ESPECIALLY because it means that i can buy whatever i want without thinking twice.

    well after going over everything here, i dont think my issues are that serious. i think its all just pre-wedding jitters. so thanks for the advice :)
