    I have an FB "friend" that does this with a pool of people.  She's kinda weird (okay a lot weird) so it fits.

    There is a website that does this.  You pay in $10 or something, pick a list of celebrities that you think will die this year and then at the end of the year the points are tallied and the top 20 people or so win cash.  This was many years ago that I first read about this and I was telling some friends about it and thinking out loud about who I might wager on.  My friends were horrified that I would consider such a distasteful thing and then I felt ashamed that I hadn't thought of it that way.
