in need of creative genious!

So I want to do something different with my invites.  I want to make the invitation itself a poem.  The twist is... this is not our first wedding!  We got married back in November 2007, so this is a vow renewal for us.  (FINALLY!  I get my 'real' wedding! Yay! lol)  Problem is... I am having a brain-fart and can't think of anything.  DH is amazingly clever with poetry, but he is busy with so much else in life right now that I don't want to bother him.  Is anyone else a clever poet who can and is willing to help me?!  Pretty Please!  TIA! :)

i'm not.. but i say that you bother fi. that way its personal to you both because he wrote it..

i'm sure if you give him the task, he can find time in the car and such to think of some things.. and if he is amazing, he probably could whip sometihng up quickly.

also I would post in invites and paper. Maybe someone over there has done something similar. But just bug FI. As the trend goes on this board he wont be that much more of a help LOL

    I agree, keep buggin FI.

But, as another option, my answer to everything is google it.  Here's one website I found:  http://www.funny-wedding-ideas.com/wedding-invitation-poems.html

    This would work:

The honor of your presence is requested
as Bride and Groom renew their vows
to be followed by a reception
Where we'll all get drunk and loud!

I would ask FI. People who are good at that type of thing (like my dad) often find writing their quirky poems relaxing and fun so he might not find it a stressful thing on his plate.
