this morning

i was behind a honda civic in the left lane.  truck in the right lane is driving like an @$$.  he floors it, changes lanes and totally cuts off the civic.

she immediately changes lanes into the right lane, floors it past him, honks her horn, shoves her hand out the window and flips him off, and then pulls back into the left lane.

chicago -- never change.

Oh man.  Dude who I passed one day got all pissed...I mean...he was driving int he middle and I passed him.  Legitimately.  Apprently you're never supposed to pass a dude in a Lexus because he sped up...flipped me off and passed me and slowed down.  Luckily I got in the lane I was exiting in, and saw another dude do the same thing to him.  Ha.  Yes, it is EVERYONE else's fault, classy lexus driver.

Related to driving: I experienced the same thing when I was in NY last week. It was glorious. I so want to move to a big city. DH is not into that though. Such a life ruiner.

Should I point out I'm the only one on the board smart enough to have her husband sterilized? I do not live in fear of pee sticks anymore. It's awesome. I'm tempted to get those fallopian tube screws, just to be double-sure. And so I can have affairs.

Can your husband convince my husband? I mean, we're pretty much infertile anyway, but I'm having issues with my doctor giving me the BC I want, so, yeah. H just doesn't want anyone touching his junk, but I think it's his turn, frankly. 

And I'm not it. Please God, not it. We've barely seen each other this month, anyway.

If it happens, it happens. I'm not going to run out to terminate. But I really, really, REALLY like my alone time. And the not vomiting. And having my breasts to myself. And having a kid who's pretty much self-service right now. And we can't afford another one, really, so there's that. 

I'm just feeling pretty safe about it since it's been 4 years of nothing. I assume if we keep on just like this, we'll probably end up with a menopause baby. But I'd like for that not to happen. And I'd like for my doctor to just give me a damn IUD, but he keeps flogging Depo to me instead. Grr. I don't want to have to find another doctor.

Last time I said I was the only incubator, Jojo piped in a couple of days later.  It's about time for someone else to come along.

FTR- DH will has made an appt and I have already stated my tubal wishes.

Might be time to say "If you wont' give me an IUD, I'll find another doctor who will. Could you please do me the courtesy of saving me time and an extra copay?"

And wtf at your h not wanting anyone touching his junk? I don't particularly enjoy having my junk drawer explored annually, but I do it, in part for the good of the family, since it would be bad for them if I died of ladyparts problems.

Time to take one for the team, dude. And he'll get some extra attention and a day or two of leisure time out of the deal. Everybody wins.

I mean, like, cutting open his junk. He's squeamish. And I'm all, well, I had to get a baby cut out of me, buddy, so suck it up. 

And the IUD hasn't been super-urgent - it's mostly to get rid of my period - but we're going to be switching insurance soon (or not have it altogether) because of H's job situation, so that'll be my sht-or-get-off-the-pot moment.

Not it, andplus also hmo's post took me right back to my days in the old country.  When we first moved down here, I felt like it was Pleasantville.  Here, you don't honk unless an animal of some kind is in the roadway.

yeah, i try not to honk too much around these parts because i really am not interested in being stabbed or shot or carjacked or eye raped.

i'll do it to alert someone who might hit me, or that i might hit them, but i have calmed down a little.

I had to honk at someone the other day.  And that just doesn't happen here unless you are using it to say "hello!"  The light turned green and the car ahead of me was obviosly texting.  And because I am in the friendliest town in America I waited a whole 3 or 4 seconds before honking and NO ONE in the line of cars behind me made a peep.

People here don't honk because it harshes their mellow or something. I don't care. Green light means go, dickweed.
