Wedding Woes

Grumpy corgis.

Both my dogs have ear infections. We started the meds and daily cleaning last night. My girl will actually come and get treats and petting from me, but my boy won't. He won't even come back in the house right now, not even for treats.

That and poor guy had a hot spot they cleaned up yesterday at the vet's, and they had to shave his back some. He is so not happy with me. The look in his eyes is one of deep betrayal and itchy, itchy, ears.

Re: Grumpy corgis.

  • Awww poor pups.  Hopefully they'll be back to their normal selves soon.
  • poor doggies. are ear infections common in corgis?

we found a dog tick on Rogue the other day - i pulled it out with tweezers (and got the whole thing). luckily it didn't look like it had been on very long. the dogs have been spending a lot more time outside since we moved - it looks like we need to keep a better eye on them.
  • My boy had one back in the spring, the Vet is treating this as a continuance of that one in his case. But on the flip side, my girl has inflammation on her paws that is bacterial as well, the signs may indicate food allergies, but vet wants us to treat everything first before we start playing with food. We had a couple of things go down around the same time that could be the cause of her leg inflammation.
  • Rogue has allergies - food and environmental. She chews on her feet a lot when they are acting up. We'll see how she does down here - hopefully there will be less environmental triggers, but since the growing season is longer, it may be worse.
