Wedding Woes

Flame me if you must

Remember my sister who disowned me and unfriended me on Facebook and thinks my husband abuses me?

She is applying for a job and needs help with her resume.  My Mom has asked me to help edit it for the job.  I am going to do it because my motto is to live guilt free.  I'm annoyed at both the lack of balls to ask me herself and the presence of balls to to through my Mom.

I hope you put this under personal qualities in her resume.

Being angry only holds you back.  If you truly want to help, do...but don't expect anything different than how she treated you before.  *steps off soapbox*

Oh, I expect no change in her behavior.  She has lots of issues but I do want her to get a job, along with health insurance so she can get the meds she so desperately needs. No joke.

I can't flame you for having a good heart.  I do hope that you don't get hurt though.

isn't guilt the very thing that is making you do this?  i mean, if you say no, won't mom be all "oh, my baby needs halp and you won't halp her!  woe is me!  and woe is my baby!  and busy is the debil!"

it's a pen; it's not a magic wand.  i think there's probably very little you can do to edit this resume into something that will make your sister employable.  and if she doesn't get the job, i expect mom and sister to blame you for it -- they are just that nuts.

I admire your big heart, and I can't say I'd do anything differently.

But I'm glad that you don't expect a change in her behavior. Crazy is crazy.

    Hmo,

Let them blame me.  What are they going to do, ignore me?  Disown me?  I fail to see how I lose here. :)

I plan on doing an excellent job and then washing my hands of the whole thing.  If they try to make this into a drama filled favor I'll tell them to go feck themselves.  I have no time for time wasters.

Eh.  I don't see why you'd feel guilty for not helping.

I don't feel guilty.  For me it's about getting her a job so she can get some health insurance and see a doctor about her issues.  She knows she's not right in the head but doesn't have insurance to see a good therapist.
