NWR but need opinions

So I finally started my blog. I am not too familiar with internet safety. So I wanted to know your girls and guy opinions. On the blog I have been saying all of our first names. Do you think that is okay? All my friends and families blogs have their first names and sometimes last names on theirs. I do not have our last names anywhere on the blog. I also didnt list where we live. Plus I am sure the only people to actually follow my blog will be friends or family anyway. But I dont want to attract any creepy internet stalkers. My blog link is below so if you want to take a peek... :)

Also I am so not fb friendly how do you make it private? I know I am lame

I don't have a blog but I think first names are fine and as you have it with no last names or where you live. You should be fine! It is very cute!

As far as fb goes you log in and go to account (in upper right corner), then click on privacy settings, then you can click on all the links and customize who can see any information about you. I HTH's!

For Internet blog safety, you're right on course. First names are fine, and not putting where you live (address etc). I would just leave off last names and you're good!

I agree with PP. I think you should be fine but just make sure to never mention where you live or last names. GL!

I've been blogging for about 12 years now and what you're doing sounds fine. First names, no specifics on where you live. Some people just use initials, or make up names. The truly stalkery people will be able to figure out who you are if you give enough clues unthinkingly in your entries: such as where you went to college, where you work (you usually should not be blogging in an unlocked entry about work), what restaurants you go to, etc...

If you are truly not sure of what can be found out about you, google (or bing) your name every few weeks and the collection of names you use in your blog and see if it turns up anything specific. Like: mary joseph jacob john leila margaret seattle.

Also, I noticed you're using blogspot. There should be an option somewhere in blogspot to make your blog unsearchable, as in (mostly) unfindable through search engines, so only the people you tell about it will find it. Well, more or less. Some people stumble across interesting things all the time on their own, but it's another level of pseudo privacy control.
