I know for my table decor I'm going to use milk glass bud vases (about 3-4 per round table) with votives, but wondering if I should place the vases on top of a slab of wood like this:
(so trendy I know :P)
or do a bunch of paper doilies in various sizes like this:
or would it look too tacky using paper ones (I think hunting down enough milk glass is enough to focus on without trying to find real doilies too) or possible use large paper doilies for place settings (in place of a charger)?
and would any of these ideas compete with wrapping lace around votives? and yes, I have *another* picture:
but white lace instead?
what ideas do you like together or what would you nix? sorry if the numerous pics annoys anyone, but personally I feel like pictures are the best way to describe what I'm talking about without any misinterpretation.
