XP: Centerpiece vase: Should I use the Patron Bottle as is or cut it?

Yes, I said Patron bottle...

I serve part-time at a restaurant and had a crazy idea one slow night of having them save me Patron bottles so I can use them as my second set of centerpieces (and they're free!!!) For those of you who don't know, Patron bottles are very thick and heavy and each one is hand-blown and has the air bubbles in the glass to show it!

But now I have to decide if I want to leave them as it and have the narrow mouth stuffed with flowers (I'm thinking carnations to keep cost down so I can have a lot and their stems are some-what small) or should I figure out a way to cut off the top so I have a short square vase to float a flower or two in.

Here are some pictures that I pulled off of google:

Here is the full flower effect of the whole bottle:

Here is what it looks like cut off-- I can't find a pic of flowers in them after being cut off....

Fyi, my other centerpiece is a tall square vase that I'm going to submerge a flower in (tbd) with the light (colored? maybe) at the bottom...no floating candle

Now-- If I want to cut it off (which I am leaning that direction), I have no idea where to start and how much it's going to cost me to buy the diamond blades and things I need to make the smooth edge so no one gets cut.

Opinions and some direction is greatly greatly needed and appreciated!!!

Thanks Ladies!!!
