So I went to a wedding last year where during the cocktail/social hour everyone just sat there. No food. Limited beverages (basically just water or fruit punch). Conversation at our particular table was strained. The bride and groom took almost 2 hours to arrive as they were wrapping up last minute pictures post-ceremony, and I thought to myself "I do not want my wedding to be like this".
So now that I'm planning, I was thinking, what about having trivia questions about the bride and groom as a sort of game to play on each table (completely optional of course) to help kill time while waiting for the bridal party to arrive? Granted, I also plan on having some appetizers and drinks, so it won't be nearly as boring as the wedding described above, but conversation starters are always good too, right? Or would trivia just be cheesy and stupid?
Example: Erica and Shawn's first kiss was:
a) on a romantic boat ride at sunset
b) a dare in front of his little brother Josh
c) spontaneous after a cotton candy eating contest
answer- b
