Toast order?

Our DJ asked us who will be giving toasts; it will be my dad since my parents are hosting, best man, one of my bridesmaids (don't have a MOH), and FI and I together will close. My question is when should my dad give his toast? First? Or after the best man and bridesmaid? 

 I thought first, since he's hosting, so he should open it with a welcome. But it seems like a lot of times the best man is first. 

Any thoughts? Or is there any etiquette or tradition on this? Thanks.

The father gives the first toast and says a welcome. It signals that others may now toast. Kind of like the mother of the bride standing at the ceremony signals to the rest of the guests to stand for the brides entrance.
