I'm trying to think of table name ideas for our wedding. I'm going to have a LOT of tables as the venue has a minimum of 150 attendees. Originally, I was thinking names of flowers would be good (outdoor garden wedding at a mansion) but then remembered how fond FI is of 1st Corinthians....but it seems mostly to delineate what love ISN'T. I can't imagine having a table that's named kin, another that's not boastful, etc, lol. Can anyone think of a way it would work? Or should I just stick with flower names?
Re: 1st Corinthians table names?
For a small wedding it isn't a big deal but if you are indeed having a lot of tables, please have a chart to help your guests. I really thought the couple whose wedding we attended was a bit rude about that.
[QUOTE]That's a neat idea, I'll have to do that. Maybe with the escort cards, so guests can glance really quick.

Escort cards won't tell them exactly where a table is located. If you have a nicely done chart on an easel, people like me can figure out that the Serenity table is in the 4th row, 3rd table from the back.
We're going to use a large chart to show the layout of the room, we're having at least 150 guests too.
If FI really likes 1 Cor 13, what about a few other verses on Love or Goodness like: 2 Peter 1:5-7; 1 Peter 3:8, Phil 4:8; Eph 4:2; Gal 5:22-23....
Or using a different Proverb on Love for each table, to add something to "do/read" while waiting for table-mates to arrive.
[QUOTE]I have heard that some caterers (<strong>if you're using a caterer</strong>) appreciate having actual table numbers as well. These could be in addition to your creative names, but servers probably handle "Tables 2, 3, and 4 need champagne" more easily than "Truth, Trust, and Hope."

Thanks for the tip ;-) I never thought about this. I'll e-mail our site coordinator about that...there's no caterer, per se, it's all at the venue. We're also opting for a buffet, so there won't be too much "service" aside from plate clearing.
