Hello ladies,
I just got engaged and have no idea how to plan a reception. Our budget is very limited and we are thinking we can't really have a sit down meal for our reception... We were thinking of having a few hors d'oeuvres and drinks, just a few table so people can sit if they would like to. We will, of course, have a cake, dance and I'm sure a few games throughout the reception... Having said that, what time should the reception start? I was thinking it would need to be after dinner time (let's say 7pm). The wedding would be at 2pm... is that too long of a break period? What do you think? How would I let the guests know that it's not a meal?
