We are having two receptions: one informal reception for close family and friends in my home town, and another reception in our current location for friends from school and work (a younger crowd).
This second reception will be in a super cool vegan restaurant (where my FI and I had our first date!), and because the owners are Buddhist, the restaurant is not licensed and it's not really set up to have an open bar. However, we are permitted to buy our own liquor license and bring our own alcohol (I'm thinking bottles of wine) to put on the tables. Is it ok that we won't be serving beer or hard liquor? I just think sticking to wine (red and white) keeps it classier. I love wine, myself, and see nothing wrong with a little buzz, but I don't want anyone getting smashed at the reception in front of our parents.
Thoughts? I know not everyone appreciates wine...
