Center pieces

I found some brandy snifters for a good price but they're 9oz glasses, I have no idea how big that is and FMIL thinks they'll be too small, any suggestions for sizes?  My plan was to just have one in the middle with glass beads and flowers in it.

9 oz is small. 
To give you a comparison: Red Solo Cups are 16 oz.  A can of soda is 12 oz.

The flowers would have to be very tiny with barely any stems or else it is going to tip over.

maybe you can put it on something to make it taller, depending on your theme if it was nature you could use a slice of a tree you can also put hydrangea in your glasses. I'm using lanterns and little votives filled with Hydrangeas in them. I didn't want to spend a ton on flowers for the tables.

ah, thank you Wis that does help, I found 22oz right after that on the same page that my FMIL suggested before I could tell her about them, so now we're on the same page!
